Welcome to the Capstone Portfolio Course! This course is the culminating experience for Master of Arts in Educational Technology program at Michigan State University, the the Master of Arts in Learning Experience Design (MALXD), and the Master of Arts in Education program at Michigan State University.
The primary goal of this course is develop an authentic portfolio of your accomplishments, work, reflection, and development over the course of your masters program. We do this as follows:
- Twelve modules take you from having no portfolio to a completed portfolio by building one page at a time.
- The portfolio helps complete your degree in lieu of a certifying exam.
- The portfolio can set you up to have a website to use in your career going forward.
- Learners with no experience will learn to build their first website, learners with existing websites will refine and add to their existing experience.
- Success depends on where you start, where you end, and your ability to reflect on your learning. This course does not depend upon your technology skill set.
- The course is scheduled as weekly assignments, but is also designed that you can work ahead at your own pace.
- Only one synchronous meeting is needed during the semester (during Module 11)
